  • Some of this and some of that! – from Shooter

6 PAX decided to join YHC this Gloom at the Scramble. Still keeping with the primary goal of running on our Thursday route I decided to mix in 5 stops along the way with some varying exercises at each stop. Having the return of Sir Bushwacker promised to fill the Gloom with welcomed chatter all the while Jose10k and Cowbell ran the streets of Mandeville at their own pace..

    Brief warmup
15IC Monkey humpers, grass grabbers, SSH, Scorpion kicks and then lizard crawl for about 30 feet.

Off we went cutting off the circle and stopping at Monroe and the gate to the pier twice and once at the end of the pier for reps of 5,10,15. These included Body builders, Merkins, Shoulder taps, squat jumps, squats, leg lunges, freak Nasties, Irwinโ€™s and Carolina dry docks..

Once back at the AO we wrapped up with some core LBCs, scissor kicks, hello Dollies, Rosalitas, freddie Mercurys and leg ups while each PAX completed reps of 10 pull-ups and 10 chin ups.

PAX finished with Count, Annouce and COT

YHC prayed out the PAX with intentions for Waterpiks patient and Cowbells travels this weekend..

Appreciate the follow men and until the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!

  • Firsts – from Waterpik

YHC and bypass logged about 3 miles in the gloom. It was the first scramble for bypass. Hereโ€™s hoping for many more.

  • Gnarly Hangover – from Zoolander

Four veteran pax converged upon the Scramble this Thursday morning. Admittedly, none of us posted at the Gnarley Nutria, so we at least had an excuse to be well rested. We warmed up with 10 IC SSH, Toe touches, windmills, Apollo Ohnos, and 41 merkins OYO. Ran the normal route with minimal disruption from the deluge remnants that plagued Mandeville earlier in the week. Steve and Bushwacker carried the 12, while Shooter and YHC unabashedly represented the 6. Cooled down with a 4-exercise circuit on the playground equipment: pull ups, leg lifts, chest presses, and hyperextensions. Count, name, pray, out.

Great to be with you fellas early in the morning. SYITG.

  • Iโ€™m not doing that – from Waterpik

With 1 week remaining before the annual Gnarly Nutria, YHC figured it would be good to get a little extra mileage in today. When YHC announced that the route would include 2 laps around the neighborhood circle, Jose 10k said, โ€œIโ€™m not doing thatโ€. And so there it was. One lap for Jose and 2 laps for shooter and YHC.

  • Simple little Mosey – from Shooter

3 PAX journeyed through the streets of Mandeville this Gloom. At first it appeared to only be Zoolander and YHC until out of the darkness a double flagged what looked like a UFO came rolling in. Amnesia biked in 8 miles from home to join us. I have money ๐Ÿ’ฐ on the fact that he registers more miles between run and bike to the WWII team challenge currently underway..
Brief warmup 10IC Windmills, Toe Touches, self love, scorpion kicks and Torso twists..
Changed our direction down to Villere taking a left to Girord to Lakeshore and back up West Beach with a left at Monroe and returning to the AO..
Time was around 40 mins and with Qs Garmin being a little aggressive at 5 miles I will scale back and say we completed roughly 4 to 4.5..

Amnesia closed us out in prayer..

    Until the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!

  • Broken promises – from Shooter

With hopes of a surprise post from the reinvigorated Nacho Libre YHC quickly realized the morning would be absent with his Broken promise.. However, I will give credit as he has posted twice this week in hopes of claiming those Saints tickets from Chewy.. Q would soon rely on the regulars instead as I pulled into the parking lot to the sight of no one at first. Then Hogsbreath rolls up while Waterpik comes moseying in through the darkness and then a surprise post from Cowbell with his boat in tow… Dedication right there ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ much respect Cowbell as you could have easily skipped but your ever determination to always Accelerate is most impressive..

PAX gets through some warmup all 10IC Grass grabbers, Windmills, Scorpion kicks, Supermanโ€™s, Slow Squats and SSH..
Phat Johnson joins the PAX and we start our Mosey through Mandeville. Waterpik graciously modified his pace to hang with YHC as Phat Johnson and Cowbell bolted out. Hogs Breath rucked through the streets as we all returned. Finished up with Core 20IC LBCs, alternating Left and Right cross crunch, Flutter kicks, Hello Dollies, Rosalitas and Mountain climbers..

Thanks for posting and following my lead..

T๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ to Hogs Breath for closing us in ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ and sharing about his post in OH over the past week and how the PAX demonstrated sheild locking at the AO. Sounds like a great way to allow us men to share what can be challenging us for the week or month and relying on other men within the PAX for support.. I know I am grateful for the wonderful friendships and brethren I have met through the years with F3.. So I want to encourage the men reading this backblast to reach out to those men around their circles and motivate them to get out and post.. As Yankee likes to say in the emails the best way to headlock is to signup and Q then it allows them to feel comfortable knowing you will be out there..

    Till the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!!

  • Soft Scramble – from Shooter

With plenty of the regulars out of town the Scramble only produced 3 PAX on this Gloom. Brief warmup 10IC Windmills, Toe Touches, Self love, Scorpion kicks and Cowbell leg swings we started our Mosey turning on Monroe and down West Beach to the lakefront. After a little ways down Lakeshore drive we turned up Coffee and returned.. Arrived with 5 mins for LBCs 20IC, Left leg over right 15IC F/F, 15IC Flutter kicks and closed with ๐Ÿ’ฏs to a 100…

  • The beatdowns have gotten easy lately – from Waterpik

Thatโ€™s what cowbell said this morning. If you sign up to Q a workout be sure to take that into account.

    Thatโ€™s all Iโ€™ve got, men

  • Returning the Dice of Doom – from Shooter

YHC signed up to Q the Scramble after a few weeks of modification nursing an ankle injury.. On this gorgeous mid 40s morning my arrival consisted of a surprise posting of Grundy. The return of Pelican was also welcomed as he planted our shovel flag. Shortly there after the always reliable and consistent Waterpik comes emerging from the shadows as he has disciplined himself to run to the Scramble for quite some time now getting in the extras.. Although the PAX would be minus Cowbell on this Gloom ole Sir Wacker would remind the PAX of his absence by rolling up a few minutes into the warmup.. Route today would be back through the park over to Greenleaves Blvd down to the Lakes and back. With the plan to return the Dice of Doom to the magnetic Wacker it was quite fitting to roll a rep count of 50 and as Wacker started his grumble of what would turn out to be what he claims is the only thing I ever roll โ€œThe Burpeeโ€

    Count, Name and COT

Appreciate the post gentlemen and T๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ to Grundy for the double up this week in Mandeville!!

    Till the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!!
