  • Misty Mornings – from Hogs Breath

Hogs breath showed up to a crisp, cold, and wet morning at the 007. Bit seeing any other light, he proceeded to a solo workout. Dodging puddles for a slow mosey around heritage with some Mary underneath the picnic pavilion.

  • One Pax in a Pear Tree – from Hogs Breath

YHC arrive at the 007 brightly lit up or Slidell Bayou Christmas!

Yhc was the only one that showed, so he took advantage to get a beatdown while looking at the Christmas lights!

Yhc warmed up with a mosey around the circle followed by some sprinst through the lighted Christmas tunnel. A few rounds Jack Webb and some more moseying’

Papa Noel will be there Monday the 23rd!

  • Arms and Abs along Route 66 – from Hogs Breath

Two pax assembled at the 007. The holiday season is officially upon us, as the park began to set up Christmas decorations.
    Warm up
Began with a slow mosey. Some grass grabbers, torso twists, cornholios and such.

    The Thing
Pass interference is still recovering from a sprained ankle, so we took it easy on the running and legs. We began with a round of POWs [ aka Jack Webbs ] one merkin to two air press, in an increasing manor till 10 merkins and 20 air presses.
Next up was a partner set of 11s. One partner stared with Merkins, the other partner started with Abs.
Once this was finished, we did a route 66, with merkins and walking the route instead of running. This provided for some active rest and allowed our aching shoulders to calm down!
    Ended with COT.

  • So about that Iron Pax Challenge…. – from Hogs Breath

Two yutes showed up this very warm and muggy gloom. After a quick rock, paper, scissors determined that Hogs Breath would take the Q.
Since the Northshore decided to abstain from IPC, still Hogs Breath like one of the beatdowns and stole this one.
    Warm up
Some hillbillies, torso twists, grass grabbers, Moroccan night clubs, and self love.
    The Thang
    After a mosey to the coupon pile;
EMOM – 5 coupon thrusters, followed by a cumulative count of burpees. Once the total count got to 100, then we took a lap around the circle track (1/6 of a mile).
Repeated with 5 chest press EMOM and 100 merkins. Followed by another lap around the circle track.
There was some mumblechatter amongst the modifications.
Ended with COT and Pass Interference grabbed a solo coffeteria while Hogs Breath had to make his way to work.

  • Back to School – from Hogs Breath

Borrowed and modified this from a few different “back to school” style beatdowns mentioned in various backblasts.
Begin with a kindergarten warm-up. Suddenly Pass Interference came screeching in and arrived two minutes late! In retrospect, he should have had a punishment for arriving tardy on his first day of school!
    After our kindergarten workout we began with the ABCs and 123s;
    A- ankle grabber (penguin)
    B- bridge (wife pleaser)
    C- crunch
    1- Merkin
    2-Squats
    3-SSH
We began with 1st grade and worked our way up to 12th. After each grade we had to catch the bus by mosey into the flag pole and back. At each grade the rep count would get multiplied by the grade number, so 2nd grade would be 2x Ankle grabber, Bridges, and Crunch’s 2x Merkin, 4x Squat, 6x SSH, etc.
We were able to get to 11th grade and in 12th grade we received a graduation present! The rep count was reduced back to the first-grade numbers so that we could finish on time.

    Ended with a COT!

  • ChatGPT build me a beatdown… – from Hogs Breath

Listening to one of the F3 podcasts a few weeks back, gave YHC the idea to use AI to create this morning’s beatdown. So I got onto ChatGPT and entered in exactly what I wanted; I said we’d be utilizing Heritage Park [007] for 45 minutes, dropped in the Exicon and got a quick response for this beatdown. There was a few tweakings but overall, it was a good workout.

    The warm-up;
    50 side hop straddle
    15 windmill
    Arm circles
    10 squat to overhead

    The Thang;

    1. Coupon Squats – 20 reps
    2. Merkins- 20 reps
    3. Overhead coupon Presses – 20 reps
    4. Bent over Rows – 20 reps
    5. Mosey around the circle loop

    Lather, rinse, and repeat for 3 rounds. Then a second circuit of;

    1. Curls for the Girls – 20 reps
    2. Freak Nasty – 20 reps
    3. Coupon Chest Press – 20 reps
    4. Run the circle loop

We were able to get in two rounds before we had to call this because of time.

Great beatdown to begin the week! I don’t know if I’ll be using AI in the future to create any beatdowns, but it was a fun experiment.

  • Kicks on Route 66 – from Hogs Breath

YHC was hopeful that an Fng would show up this am.
YHC arrived 10 minutes early set up to shovel flag in awaited. Alas, at 5:30 Hogs Breath stood alone. The phone dinged and a message from Royal Ralph saying he was running late. So I got a couple of laps in while I waited. At 5:37 the headlights of Royal Ralph appeared.

A warm-up of some windmills butt kicks self-love, a few other things.
    The Thang
We conducted a route 66 using the light poles around the circle perimeter of the 007. Big Boi Sit ups at the start, and Merkins at each light pole. We progressed from 1 merkin/big boi up to 11. We finished with the last set of sit ups at precisely 6:15 AM.

Ended with the circle of trust with prayers for the nation and each other as HIM in the community. The Fng did text saying he had bloodwork this am, so we will remain hopeful for the future.

  • 1776 workout – from Hogs Breath

Yhc arrive at the 007. Quickly realizing that sometimes you are the soul warrior out on a beat down.

So I began a self-improvement quest, a quick warm-up, nothing special toy solders, cherry pickers, etc.

Then a half a mile run. Continuing with the patriotic theme. I began 17 exercises with 21 reps of each exercise (that I stole from Hookie’s beatdown).

    Merkins
    Overhead claps
    LBC
    Dips
    Moroccan Night Clubs
    Leg Scissors
    Step ups
    Squats
    American Hammers
    Mountain Climbers
    Shoulder Taps
    Plank Jacks
    High Knees
    Lunges
    SSH
    Superman with Lat pull downs
    Big Boi Sit ups

Once I completed that another half mile run.

  • A motivated James Bond coupon – from Hogs Breath

Began with a warm-up. Abe Vigoda arm circle, self love, Einstein’s theory of relativity, world’s greatest, and a new one Inca gods.

We began with a rousing rendition of a motivator. A 10 to 1 SSH beatdown. We began with a full SSH, star hop, leg only, and a bunny hop. Much to Jose’s delight, the balls of our feet and our calves were aching…

    The thang

Next up was some Slidell [the 007]love. YHC saw an article from “The Art of Manliness” about a James Bond workout. Ian Fleming, who wrote the James Bond series of books, described the famous spy’s workout routine in one of his books. The article even had a nice graphic of a tuxedo’d James Bond performing various exercises. The beatdown began with 20 slow count Merkins. This is then followed up by some leg levers and grass grabbers. And ending with freak nastys. This was a great rendition, especially since the Q was visiting from the 007 AO!

Next up was a coupon walk and the Deck of Death. One pax would walk with the coupon, while other pax drew a card and performed the exercise listed. Once the coupon was dropped everybody else sprinted to said coupon. The pax then rotated out and begin again.

Next step was a hot potato, swapping the coupon back-and-forth while all pax went the stairwells and did calf raises.

Ended with a few minutes of a circle of trust.

A great Motivated way to begin our Friday!

  • Tabata in Africa – from Hogs Breath

Pass Interference and I met at the shovel flag and began our weekly start of the week ritual.

    Warm up:

Toy Soldiers, slow butt kicks, Abe Vigodas, imperial walkers, hill billies, and SSH.

    The Thang,
To commemorate Murdoch’s upcoming Africa trip, we played “Africa” by ToTo. The pax had his choice of SSH, Imperial walker, or Hill Billy and every time “Africa” was mentioned, we did a burpee. Basically, “Africa” is mentioned a lot less than I originally remembered. So the total amount of burpee’s was only about 10…
The next thing was a trip to the coupon pile and selecting a coupon. We traded it back and forth while we mosey’d back to the shovel flag.
A round of Tabata. 20 seconds on, 10 seconds rest for eight rounds. Exercises included a coupon hop over, mountain climbers, and squats. In the middle, a pickup truck pulled up and Royal Ralph arrived. Tclaps for showing up, many newcomers would be deterred from showing up if they messed up the time or showed up late, but not Royal Ralph! Royal still arrived, albeit 25 mins late! He jumped into Tabata with us, followed by a mosey around the park. And finishing with 5 mins of Mary.
Ended with COT and coffeteria at Starbucks.
