YHC had not Q’d Okwata much lately due to its biweekly conflict with yoga, so Thursday seemed like a good opportunity to get back to it. The weather was great, a little chilly but no breeze and the lake was perfectly flat.
First we moseyed to the warm-up area where we warmed up with some SSH, AC, GG, WM, and 8CBB. Next we moseyed to the base of Canal opposite side from the lake. From here we ran down the running path stopping at each intersection for some merks. Got to Robt E Lee and turned back and did burpees on the way back.
We headed up to the levee for an IR to the pumping station, where we did some exercises (side lunges, flutter kicks, a few other things) and in between each one, we ran down and up the levee 3x.
IR back to Canal and head to the base for some Bernie Sanders x3 until we hit the time and headed back to the flag. Got a few complaints about the lack of variety with all the running, but you get what you pay for and my tip jar remained empty. So we ran. a lot.
The crowing achievement of the workout was when, 32 minutes in, SoGo got hot enough to take off his long-sleeve shirt and live up to his name. Would have been a major failure on my part otherwise.
