  • Nolan Richardson modified +35 lbs!!

With rain in the forecast YHC planned the beatdown in the parking garage across from the Justice center.. After searching the Lexicon for workouts that would take up the full 45min beatdown, Q arrived on the Nolan Richardson. Knowing the Gipper crew loves using coupons from weeks past I decided to incorporate our cylinder blocks stored behind the trailhead.. With no time to waste letโ€™s begin.

    warmup (brief)

    20IC SSH, 10IC Windmills, 20Butt kicks, 10IC Toe touches.

    thang

Gathered our coupons and moseyed to the garage. Upon arrival Q desperately tried to dispatch the instructions only to have interruptions occurring from our mumble chatter correspondent sir Bushwacker ๐Ÿคซ๐Ÿคซ.. PAX partnered up with coupon in front and got to work. We cut the reps in half 75/150/75/150/75/150/75 all cumulative count. Consisted of Burpees, Squats, Big Boys,Kettle Swings, Merkins, Mountain Climbers and Imperial Walkers.

P1 did reps while P2 backpedalled 50 yards completed a Bobby Hurley and Sprint at first back quickly modified to mosey back picking up count..

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป to Bart for making his 2nd post even after posting to Beans intense rep count tear down on Saturday.. Glad to have you part of the Gipper crew!!

After returning taxed with our coupons, we circled up for count and announce.
Maverick took us out with COT!!

Much appreciated to you men for following my lead!!

    โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป till the next Gloom!!

  • Double down or split the 8s?

Maybe the Q should have thought this one out a little more.. Arrived to the Scramble with light numbers expected. However this Gloom would produce a first timer at the Scramble, welcome Goose! Lacking 2 regulars (Wacker and Cowbell) the PAX enjoyed a moderate pace beating the rain drops..

    warmup

All IC10 Good mornings, Imperial Walkers, Torso twist, Scorpion kicks, Superman, High knees and Butt kicks..

Moseyed our traditional route with a 9 min pace returning to the AO with some โ€œBlack Jackโ€ planned..

Well the PAX started in with Burpees and Jump Squats.. 1-20, 2-19, 3-18, etc. etc. etc.

Hammer quickly multiplied the numbers and stated the PAX would have completed well over 200 reps of each. However, the time paused the PAX at the number 8 which if given in a game of โ€œBlack Jackโ€ in pairs would prove to be a great split hand so presumably we will pickup this hand in the future..

Appreciate the post men and thanks to Waterpik for closeout in prayer!!

    ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸปโœŒ๐Ÿป Till the next Gloom!!

  • Three Robins share the Q

With no one on the Q sheet for Grandmas house, 3 PAX posted on this chilly 35 degree morning. I guess these 3 Robins didnโ€™t fly further enough south to escape the temptations of getting in some work on this gloom..

    warmup (Shooter)

20IC SSH, 10IC Toe touches, 20IC Imperial Walkers, 10IC Good mornings and 20IC Cherry ๐Ÿ’ pickers.. Mosey around the block past the Treen center returning to the Trailhead..

    Sprint Up/down steps 10x followed by 20 Freak Nasties…

    Sprint Up/down steps 5x followed by 15 Derkins…

    Sprint Up/down steps 2x followed by 10 box jumps…

    Gassed at this point ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต!!

    Goose:

Closed with Rock, scissor, paper Burpee to 10x.. Pelican proved to be the mind reader on this one, watching Goose and Shooter perform most reps majority of the time. However, being the true team player Pelican voluntarily joined in on a few rounds including the final..

Goose closed the PAX out with COT!!

Appreciate the post men, knowing without your commitment to post this guy would not have worked that hard..

    ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸปโœŒ๐Ÿป Till the next Gloom!

  • Scrambling for Substitutions!!

With Cowbell on the Q sheet for the Scramble YHC awoke with preparation of attending knowing the EHs had been set by Waterpik and Wacker. Shortly after waking the illumination of my phone signaled there would be a Substitution on this Thursday. It was Cowbell informing he was under the weather and would need assistance.. Like a teacher in the school system he put out feelers to others as well to find out who would lead the class.. YHC won the response before the Wacker and took to the chaulk board.

    warmup

IC 10 Windmills, Good Mornings, SSH

IC 15 Seal Jacks, High Knees, Butt Kicks

Moseyed our route through Mandeville with chatter and Illumination along the way.. T-claps to Amnesia for lighting up our path as we completed our 5k and returned to the flag with a decent pace.
Closed with IC 10 Merkins, IC 10 Scorpion kicks and a handful of welcomed stretches and Yoga. Sorry for leaving out the crunchy frogs Cowbell, but I am sure the PAX will get them done remember men D-5 IC 25.

    Amnesia prayed out the PAX

Appreciate the lead and you men following till the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸปโœŒ๐Ÿป

  • Crickets at the Marsh!

Abbreviated beatdown done as a sad clown. Consisted of brief warm up followed by Merkins, Squats, LBCs and Burpees in descending order from 20,15, 10 and 5 sprinting baseline to baseline. 4 rounds of (5) pull-ups with cylinder block chest presses (20). Ran a mile and thatโ€™s a wrap..

  • Flipping ainโ€™t easy!

3 Mandevillianโ€™s met up at the WD for 0530 to journey north to the Gipper. YHC surprised his fellow comrades by arriving early enough to make the pre miler. Knowing there were so many coupons available at my disposal (Cylinder blocks, rock garden, sand bags, etc.) I chose the latest added to our Gipper collection offered up by a local gym in Covington.. Whoever said flipping ainโ€™t easy, well I guess that depends on the type of flipping. We will keep the road rage gestures to a min for this one..

T-claps to Turbo, Einstein, Legal, Steve and Wacker for posting the prethang..

Upon returning the PAX swelled to 13, with Zoolander making his Gipper debut.. Qs thoughts wondered if the likes of past Gipper regulars such as Hammer, Maverick, Tanked up, Grundy and others had posted the Gipper would have been like a Saturday beatdown of sorts. Lets get to it.

    warmup

15IC SSH, Seal Jacks, Mummy kicks

10IC Good mornings, Windmills, Scorpion kicks and Mountain climbers..

    thang

Moseyed to the tire yard to retrieve our newest coupons. Broke into 4 groups 10 yards apart. One PAX would flip to the other team while the rest of the PAX held Al Gore, Plank, Plank Left/Right. T-Claps to the smaller framed men who decided that the MONSTER tire would not win on this day.. Great determination Grover on conquering the big one on your own.. PAX participated in a couple of flip relays also incorporating some bunny hops in as well. Returned them to their resting place with hopes of less time between the next outing.

Moseyed to the parking garage for our remaining 20 mins of the Escalator. Routine consisted of multiple exercises increasing by 10 on each station change, but somehow Wacker being distracted by Beans fashion show bathing suit episode would soon reveal itself in the end as he laughed at Steve following the proper instruction to completion..

    6 rounds:

    R1 10 Burpees

    R2 10 Burpees 20 Merkins

    R3 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, 30 Squats

    R6 10 Burpees, 20 Merkins, 30 Squats, 40 Mountain climbers, 50 PlankJacks and 60 Jump Squats..

Moseyed back to flag 3 mins past official time.

Appreciate you men for making the commitment to post and pushing me to become a better version of myself..

Thanks to Goose for taking us out in ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป!!

    Till the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸปโœŒ๐Ÿป!!!

  • 7 Turkeys plucking at the Scramble!!

Seven birds flew into the Scramble this Thanksgiving Morning, with the exception of one advanced bird cruising in on a GIANT ready to pluck through the streets of our beautiful home of Mandeville.. Letโ€™s keep it simple and sweet like pecan pie!!!!

    warmup

    thang

PAX broke into various pace sets as YHC took the road with a returning Butt Splice to catch-up with a brother not seen in awhile..
Returned to the AO with few to spare and gave the Wacker his touch on Core before off to filling the stomach with all the goodness this day brings.. IC 15 LBCs, Flutter kicks and Hello Dollies..

  • Post treats at Grandmas house!!

With school out and the weather in the mild 50s Grandmas house had a treat of some fresh faces posting this Gloom. Jose 10k and Speedy journeyed down to the trailhead to join some other F3 regulars in Hammer and Zoolander.. We briefly had an appearance of the freshly retired Garfield, however someone with his running group rolled in solo so he passed on our beatdown to accompany his friend like the fine gentleman he is..

    warmup

    Variations of IC 10and 20

Good mornings, Toe touches, Mountain climbers, Scorpion kicks, SSH, Imperial Walkers and Hillbillies.

    thang

Moseyed to the Marsh for some coupon work. With coupon lined the baseline of the court for instructions.

Speedy jumped right in with Sprints down the corridor followed by 15 Burpees. Moseyed back for Mary which included 15 IC Flutters and LBCs. 30 OYO Big boys and 1 min plank hold. Anticipate lots of reps and activities this Saturday and join Speedy in support of his VQ…

  • What in the world!!

Q arrived to the sights/sounds of Wacker chatter with Steve and Waterpik. This was unexpected as the previous day the Wacker had stated the likeliness of a post was not in his favor. Considering he is embarking on a 50k solo journey to Alabama this weekend, where he will most certainly complete in under 7 hours.. YHC was happy to see the PAX swell to 7 men as 0515 approached and so we got started with our warmup before the journey through Mandeville..

    warmarama

10IC Good mornings, Imperial walkers, Windmills, Butt kicks, Scorpion kicks and followed with some isolation groin stretch left/right and iso hold cobra style..

    thang

Q announced to the PAX his vision of incorporating some back pedals and Caricoas along the route. Intentions were to keep the PAX close in proximity along the way. As we approach the Hermitage subdivision and turn to back pedal and shifted to Caricoa we notice a bystander waiting out front for a buddy with boat in tow. One can only imagine the thoughts in which ran through his mind as 7 F3 brethren greet โ€œGood Morningโ€ as they pass through the darkness..
Holding back as long as he can Wacker decides to break away with his competitive nature to be seen again at the AO.. Hammer and YHC chattered amongst ourselves as Steve, Pik and Akbar pulled the Six for a short period anyway.. We arrived at the pier with the illumination of someone sitting with a computer at the end of the pier and Hammer with his witty movie, song and network programming mentions the series 24!!! Steve you may wanna make a call to your producer for the possibility of a series shot close to home.. Returned to the AO minus 1 as Amnesia decided to catch an extra loop. Took to the ground for 20IC Merkins, 10IC Zoo scissors, 20IC Little Manny crunches, 10IC Right-side Nolan Ryanโ€™s 20IC Mountain climbers and closed with 10IC Left-sided Nolanโ€™s..

    Count, announce, COT

Q closed the PAX in prayer!

Grateful to see Waterpik back with the PAX at the Scramble!!

Thanks for following my lead men and ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป till the next Gloom!

  • Wacked with silence and no sounds of bells on this Scramble!!

YHC arrived to the sights of no Wacker and the sounds of silence. However, the Scramble always produces the sounds of music as Cowbell usually rolls in hot listening to some jams.. YHC certainly expected better results from him the previous day at the Gipper with Steveโ€™s random musical genreโ€™s. Steve however did mention the unusually quiet Gloom minus a Wackerless mouth piece.. No time to waste so we dove right in.

    warmup

IC 15 and 10 Hillbillies, Mummy kicks, Toe touches, Windmills, SSH, Slow squats..

    Thing

Standard route with a moderate pace and great conversation along the way. F3 brothers allowed the Q to share his passion of hunting all through the streets. We arrived back at the AO and wrapped up with 2 sets of pull-ups (10) and (8), ultimate burpees, Freak Nasties, hand release Merkins and a series of core. 15 IC Little Manny crunches, Zoolander alternating opposite toe ups and the Cowbell flutter kicks..

    name, count and COT

Zoolander graciously lifted up our intentions and prayed us out..

    ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป Till the next Gloom!!
