  • Running With Squeal

Squeal and I were the only PAX today. Met at the usual spot and set out for a 45 minute run.

Ran a full loop of the park and then ran through campus to Claiborne. Ran back down Audobon and back through Campus to the start. We made just about 5 miles.

  • RRRUNDAY

It was the second day of Run Ranger Run and the PAX were motivated. 6 of us showed for an hour long run on this beautiful day.

We started with a run through the park to the fly and then looped back around to the front of the park. Then we ran through Tulane campus to Claiborne and then over to Audobon. Ran back through the campus one more time and made our way to the WPM garage. One lap up and down the garage and then back to the start.

My watch thought I went to TJ Quill’s for some reason… so the distance was off on my app. The general consensus is we did about 7 miles.

Angie, Flaming Lips and I ran to PJs on the Tulane after the workout for a small, freezing coffeeteria.

All-in-all a great run and a great kick-off to RRR.

  • Can you hear me now? A.K.A. Sprints

Started the morning off with a tour of the clubhouse parking lot and ended up in front of the bandstand. Circled up for the following.

    • 40 X SSH
    • 20 X Smurf Jacks
    • 20 X Imperial Walker Squats
    • 20 X Mountain Climber
    • 20 X Peter Parkers
    • A couple minutes of plank stretches

Next we moseyed 10 feet to the edge of Oak Alley for some sprints. All PAX sprinted to the track. The first and last one there got to choose an exercise to do a 20 count of. Next we sprinted the long way, through the parking lot, back to the bandstand and repeated the first and last 20 counts. Repeated the whole thing one more time.

Really seemed like everyone was enjoying Oak Alley so we did BLIMPS starting at the first light. Started with 5 burpees and increased by 5 each time. Oh and we also bear crawled between each light post.

After the BLIMPS we sprinted back to the bandstand for another set of first and last 20 counts.

Next we headed to the pavilion for the following.

    • 20 X RLS
    • 20 X DIPS
    • 20 X LLS
    • 20 X DIPS (Thanks Angie for insisting we finished)

Finally headed back to the flag for a 10 count of Jack Webbs. I tried to stop at 8 but the PAX wasn’t having it. Thanks for keeping me honest everyone.

Finished up with a couple minutes or Mary and then name-O-rama/COT

  • A light pre-IPC workout.

Another beautiful and hot Tuesday morning. We had Mathlete from the north shore and Mr. Belding from F3 Tampa Bay visit us so I decided to make it special.

    Started with 10 burpees OYO

Mosey to the touchdown Jesus for circle and 20 each of the following

SSH – Smurf Jacks – Seal Jacks – Mountain Climbers – Peter Parkers

Mosey to the Loyola garage for some Indian run up it.

Over to the pull-up bars by the RTOC for Dora 123

    • 100 Pull-ups
    • 200 Jump Squats
    • 300 Merkins

Jogged back to St. Charles and circle up on the grass for some voluntary Mary.

Back to Audubon park for NOR and COT.

  • Apparently you just run

What a lovely day for a brisk run around Audubon.

We started with two laps around the park stopping at the Magazine entrance each time for 10 pull-ups and the St. Charles entrance for 10 burpees.

After the run we circled up at the St. Charles entrance for some Mary:

    • 20 Penguins (FEET TOGETHER AND TOUCH THOSE HEELS)
    • 20 La cucharachas
    • 20 WW2 Sit-ups
    • 20 Mountain Climbers
    • 20 Peter Parkers with 10 second holds every 5

We had 3 minutes left so we headed to the benches for 20 dips.

Back to the start for COT

  • Halfway to 70

Can’t think of a better way to spend the day after my birthday than getting sweaty with a bunch of dudes.

I never thought I would feel better at 35 than I did at 25. I owe it all to F3 and all of you guys for giving me a reason to wake up at 5AM and sweat my ass off. Big thanks to everyone that made it out to celebrate my birthday beatdown with me.

Short jog to the Tulane sign and circled up.

    • 35 SSH
    • 15 Grass grabbers
    • 35 Mountain climbers
    • 15 Peter Parkers

    Mosey’d to the benches:

    • 35 Right leg step-ups
    • 20 Diamond derkins
    • 35 Left leg step-ups
    • 35 Dips
    • 20 Incline Merkins

Mosey’d to the garage for the crowd favorite Indian Run all the way up.

Once at the top of the mountain we split into pairs for some Dora. One person ran all the way to the bottom of the stairs and back up the other stairs while the partner did the following:

    • 50 Burpees
    • 100 Jump squats
    • 200 Shoulder taps

Sang Kumbaya while we watched the sunrise and then mosey’d back to the flag for COT.

  • Sandbagging it

Started with a short jog to the Tulane sign and circled up.

    • 20XSSH
    • 20XWindmills
    • 20XArm Circles
    • 20XReverse Arm Circles
    • 20XPeter Parkers

Ran back to the park and grabbed the sandbag that I stashed earlier.

Started running on the track while doing something I like to call “no bag left behind”. The idea is that one person takes the sandbag and the group runs on the track. The first person to run pass a “running man” on the ground has to run back to take the sandbag from the person holding it. Repeat until you get to he next exercise.

No bag left behind to the drinking fountain by the greens. Circled up for some Mary while passing the bag around.

    • LBC
    • Freddy Mercury
    • American Hammer

More no bag left behind to the monkey bars and split up into 3 groups and did the following:

    • 10 Pull-ups as the count
    • Dry docks
    • Pass-the-bag which is basically just throwing the bag around.

Back to the track for no bag left behind again. Stopped at Magazine street entrance. For 10 OYO burpees.

No bag left behind back to the flag for COT.
