Up against the wildly popular Battle FrisBurpee scheduled at the Foundry, YHC was worried that he’d be working out alone. But lo and behold! 3 PAX emerged from the gloom to join him. Kenner Brah – welcome to El Diablo! Not sure he’s ever been here before, which put more pressure on YHC to make it memorable for our elder statesman. 530 – lets head to the rock pile with a mobile disclaimer, as YHC kept remembering a few more things to remind himself, PVC, Logo and KB.
At the rock pile, a quick warmup with some stretching, SSH and IW. Vagabond decided to make an appearance – better late than never!
Up to the tracks. YHC promised that he’d introduce Scantron-inspired balance stuff, and has consistently forgotten to follow through. This time I remembered. First some “face each other” balance, trying to get to, and hold, a squat position. Then a walk along the rails. Logo seemed to find a trick – get the center of gravity low. He was FLYING up and down the tracks!
Back to the pile, and grab a rock. Off to the field.
Route 66: Situps AND Merkins at each tree. Rifle carry the rock through the 11 stops. Vagabond finished well ahead of the group, so he got to do a Route 78.
Heart Rate: Push that heart rate up. 20 Curls. Sprint out and back (maybe 150 total?), then with the heart rate racing, get 5 burpees in. Rest until YHC heart rate (as reported by dreadfully faulty fitbit) got below 90. Rinse and repeat 3 times.
Playground: 5 stations. Burpees, Merkins, Situps, PullUps and Throw-the-rocks-over-the-fence (with good form, thank you KB for the reminder). Got 2 rounds in (10 burpees as the timer).
Return our friends, and get back to the flag 1 minute late.
COT: Prayers for KB and his wife and her health. Logo going through some transitions, needs all of our support and prayers (we got you, brother!).
