Ran my first Q in 2017, (hope to do more)
PAX in attendance:
Marlin, Amnesty, Tool, Rudy, Jingle Vader, Bogey, Bubba, Cowbell, Tinker, Kim-Chi, Maverick, Duct Tape, Hawgcycle
My weekly visit with my F3 Nation men was chilly, but we got started with a quick TABATA of 8 warmup drills (25 seconds each) JOG IN PLACE, BURPEES,HIGH KNEES,PUSH UPS, MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS, FROG LEAPS, LUNGES, AND FINISHED WITH CRAB CAKES
Then we grabbed our favorite rock and hit the fields:
Exercise Regimen included: broke up in 2 groups, put around 30 yards between us – with our rock started reciting our ABC’s (15 reps of the following: “A”b crunches, “B”ench Press, “C”urls, “D”ead Lifts, “E”xtensions, “F”lys(triceps),”G”ood Mornings, “H”anibal Squats, RUNNNING 30 yards between each rep. Having so much time left, repeated with 20 reps.
We finished up with a Rotisserie Chicken (Cajun term for “rolling planks”)
You forgot the best part: Switch rocks with your neighbor. Nice twist, especially after the “Go Big” suggestion to start the day. I think I saw a tear slide down Hawg’s cheek as he had to entrust Gibraltar to Duct Tape.
I keep a close eye on the rock situation. Actually Amnesty took mine and handled her much better than I did. Duct Tape ended up with the Bubba/Hawg rock by way of Tinker. I’m not sure how he took it from Tinker, but he had it in the end. I also noticed he had the Bubba/Hawg rock last week. I think he is fond of her. I’ve been generous to share with Bubba, but this may test my (and Bubba’s) generosity. I’m not beneath going out and moving a rock in the middle of the week so that I get to it first.
As Rudy said, the switching of the rocks was a nice twist and is a good way to test the Pax. However, my favorite part was the COT. The $5 bill illustration was a great lesson regarding our worth in Christ.
My ribs hurt from laughing. Good workout, entertaining too.
